Every package, every stop, every day.
Coloptics is the operating group behind Optimal Inc and Collazo Corp — two independent companies delivering packages under contract for FedEx across central Nebraska. We run the routes, maintain the trucks, and take care of the people driving them.
What we do
Our companies hold delivery contracts and run them end to end. That means hiring and training drivers, dispatching daily routes, maintaining a fleet of delivery vehicles, and meeting the safety and compliance obligations that come with commercial motor vehicle operations in Nebraska.
Route operations
Daily dispatch, route planning, and on-road support across our service area. Drivers get schedule changes and road conditions as they develop.
Fleet & maintenance
Preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair management keep our trucks road-ready and in step with DOT requirements.
Driver safety
Ongoing safety training, hours-of-service compliance, and timely word on weather, closures, and hazards affecting active routes.
Administration
Payroll, records, and regulatory reporting handled centrally so each company can keep its focus on the road.
The industry
A large share of the packages delivered in the United States are carried the last mile by independent contractors rather than by the carrier whose name is on the box. The national carrier builds the network, moves freight between hubs, and sets the service standards. Local contracted companies own the trucks, employ the drivers, and run the neighborhood routes.
In rural and small-metro territory like central Nebraska, that means long routes, real distance between stops, and weather that can rewrite a delivery day without warning. It is a business of narrow margins and hard deadlines — a route either runs complete and on time or it does not, and the difference usually comes down to whether the truck was ready, whether the driver was staffed, and whether information reached the road fast enough to matter.
That last piece is why we invest in driver communication. A highway closes, a route gets resequenced, a safety notice needs to reach every driver before the next stop. Handling that well is what finishes the day whole.
Drive with us
We are hiring delivery drivers in central Nebraska. No over-the-road, no nights away from home — you run a local route and you finish your day here. If you are dependable, safe behind the wheel, and good with people at the door, we would like to talk.
Local routes, home daily
Every route we run is in and around central Nebraska. You are back at the building at the end of your shift, not three states away.
Steady work, flexible schedule
Package volume runs all year, not just in season. Routes generally run Monday through Saturday, and which days you work can flex — we build the schedule around what works.
Paid training
You get a full week of paid training before you are out on your own, and the support does not stop when the week ends.
Pay and benefits
We go over pay and benefits directly when we talk. Tell us about your experience and your availability and we will take it from there.
